Shayna S. Israel is a first-year PhD student in Creative Writing at KU.  Her work has appeared in P-Queue, JENdA: A Journal of Culture and African Women Studies and Origami Condom. She is in two forthcoming publications: My Next Heart: New Buffalo Poetry (BlazeVOX Books) and Buffalo Disability Art and Writing Collection (SUNY Buffalo).  Shayna has a B.A. in Sociology from Bryn Mawr College, M.S.Ed in Higher Education from the University of Pennsylvania, and M.A. in English, Innovative Writing, from SUNY Buffalo. She​ runs Plur·al·ity Press, which publishes the intersection of literary and visual arts:
