Research areas: 20th century and contemporary poetry, film studies, science fiction, gender studies, Scandinavian literature, and translation

Meagen Youngdahl is a graduate of the MA program in creative writing at UC Davis. Her thesis explores rooms and trauma, as well as the relationship between science fiction and poetry. Meagen earned her BA in English and Film Studies from UC Berkeley, where she also studied translation. Her translations of poems by Tomas Tranströmer can be found in Alchemy. Meagen is a former Editor-in-Chief of the American River Review. She is in her second year of doctoral studies at KU.
