Research Areas: Historical fiction, narrative theory, late 19th/early 20th Ethnic American literature, and creative writing pedagogy reform

PhD English-Creative Writing student at the University of Kansas. A graduate of Columbia College Chicago's Story Workshop Method with a BA in Fiction Writing, as well as an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, Kristin's fiction and poetry have appeared in the SN Review, You Must Be This Tall to Ride and Psychic Meatloaf literary journals. Her current work includes themes of miscegenation, migration and displaced identity.
