Research Areas: Creative writing, speculative fiction, graphic novels and multimedia/multimodal narratives, short fiction, postmodernism, and reading/fan cultures
 
Adam Mills is a PhD Candidate in English (Creative Writing). He previously earned a B.A. in Creative Writing and an M.A. in English from Missouri State University, as well as an M.F.A. in Popular Fiction from the University of Southern Maine. His short stories and book reviews have appeared in such venues as FUSION Magazine and the Los Angeles Book Review Online. He is a World Fantasy Award-nominated editor for his service with Weird Fiction Review from 2012-2014. He also proudly served the KU Writing Center for three years, most recently serving as their Graduate Assistant and Administrative Intern, and is generally pursuing research and career interests in academic support services. He currently lives in North Carolina, where he works for Brevard College as Co-Coordinator of Writing Services for their Experiential Learning Commons (ELC).
